Introduction Hi ya, my name is Peter Eyre I am a fully qualified personal trainer and the joint owner of elite fitness studio. I have been working in the fitness industry for over 4 years now, working within large fitness clubs such as Bannatynes before taking ownership of elite fitness. Specialist areas My two areas of speciality are muscle tone/definition and dietary requirements. Toning and definition One of the most under rated part of fitness, health and general well being is the importance of a strong muscular structure. The term muscle brings images of giant bodybuilders such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and big wrestlers like Hulk Hogan, but this is not the case. Brad Pit in fight club is very muscular but not huge. I have trained hundreds of clients who have changed there physic and to this day, look, in their words a million times better, more toned, fitter and stronger. Nutrition This is an area which most people struggle with, eating the correct style and quantity of food at the correct time of day. But in my opinion it’s the most interesting. Exercise is vital to living a healthier life style but correct nutrition can make the difference between achieving your goals or not. I like to work with members to determine what foods they like, when they tend to eat and their general dietary patterns from there I can advice them in different eating styles, do you like the way I didn’t say DIET, that’s because it’s not a diet, no food is a sin but certain guidelines do have to be followed. Evaluating and advising on which foods to eat at certain times of the day will make a massive impact on the bodies ability to burn, utilise and dispense energy, in simple terms how much stored body fat you will use and how energetic you will feel. ME Well I am the same as everyone out there; I have to work with what I have. I have been given these genetics so my goal is to make the most of them. I’m a naturally slender framed individual; most of my younger years were spent with no real muscle structure. I will never be the size of Arnold Schwarzenegger, but over the years with the correct style of training and nutrition I have formed a structure which I am happy with, that doesn’t mean I will stop, instead I have set new goals, different objectives. It wasn’t an easy journey, trust me I have tried most things. When I was younger I used to binge eat, then starve, then binge then go out drinking, wondering why my body was a mess. I have tried most styles of training from the fat burning zone, high reps; circuit training you name it I am bound to have tried it. So I now take it upon myself with the help of my fellow instructors to advise, guide and instruct clients both new and old to the gym, to the best suited methods of training and eating to suit their lifestyle. Remember a treadmill is just a treadmill, but knowing how to use is it, to benefit you, is the most valuable tool. |
